Recently A-level Business Studies students had the opportunity to collaborate with A-level Graphic Communications students for an exciting studio day led by a local designer.

The studio day was a follow up from a Dragons Den event that the A-level Business students took part in at the end of the last academic year. They came up with, and presented their own business initiatives to be judged by our very own team of Gloucestershire dragons, comprised of local entrepreneurs. One of the judges, Danny Matthews, runs his own design company and offered the prize of a studio day to the top two winning teams so they can start to bring their ideas to life.

A group of our A-level Graphics students joined the winning business teams in the studio to help them with design and branding in a variety of sessions lead by Danny.

Business lecturer Rose Stinchcombe said “The day was an amazing collaborative experience and gave the students a real-life experience of designers and business leaders coming together to develop a concept.”
